Ohoy.

Hullo, I've been away.

Friends and Mother kept me busy, as did my own brain. I visited a friend of mine for eleven days and it was very refreshing getting a bit of a vacation from this place, seeing as how she lives in the next town over. We went on a short roadtrip and visited a zoo featuring Scandinavian animals. We saw all but two so it went well, and we both found it fairly exciting even though we've been before. I liked one of the handlers because he was talking to a child there and explaining about their animals and how this "grandma of a grandma" was taken there just for shits and giggles many, many, many years ago but that they don't capture animals to look at them anymore. Now they care for the ones they have for various reasons, he said, among other things, and it made me so happy. But uh, he dumbed a lot of park stuff down for the children asking questions, too, of course. But still, it seems to be a fairly nice place.

Another friend of mine and her sister have been introducing me to Bollywood movies and I love 'em. We've seen three so far. Do not ask me what they were called because I have nooo idea. I just know I liked them. We're watching another one tomorrow.

Uhhhh. What else?

Oh yeah, I bought a small owl plushie at the park because, you know, Hedwig. Except my friend and I kept referring to it as a "he" even though we both instantly agreed it was named Hedwig, of course, seeing as how we're both HP fans. (Although she hasn't had a "relapse" into fandom, only I've done that. Heh.) So my friend's taken to calling it "He-Hedwig."

Here is one of my cats (Sputnik) not bothering at all with He-Hedwig.

Today I took a trip with a local boat (small ship?) to an island. Mother and I have somehow made it into a kind of annual thing. The ride takes about an hour and a half there, then you stay for a few hours and then you go home again, and on the way back home I got a little restless and tired of enjoying the scenery, so there is literally a photo of me reading fic on my phone during our lovely daytrip. (It was a smutty scene, too.)

I look like a skinny blob with short dark hair, which believe me, I am none of those things. Weeell, okay, the skinny blob part is debatable. I'll post a nice photo of me later at some point so you can see my actual face, promise.

And a few weeks ago when visiting another friend of mine I found this at a charity shop and had to have it. :D

And not only is it Harry's birthday today, it's also Evgeni Malkin's, and he's a very real hockey player whom I admire quite a bit, so let us raise our glasses to him as well as our fictional hero. :D

I'll make sure to post plenty more later.

I just had to barf out something right now because it'd been ages. I hope you're all well.

Ahhh, it's lovely to see you!

I have quite a few cuddly owls myself. There's something very pleasing about them. I also love your teaset, and in your photo I was just thinking what a pretty outfit you had on <3

Ooh, likewise. It seems we both returned at the same time, even though our breaks were for different reasons.

Thank youu, I really like that top. Haha, I love how my surgical scar almost makes it look like I have waay more cleavage than I do. I've never noticed that before. Maybe it's the angle, or something. Yesss, and I can never resist buying more teapots and cups and what have you. The only problem is that I'm running out of room... Heh.

Friend!!!

I'm so pleased to hear the place you visited is more of a sanctuary than a zoo; that makes me very happy!

Hahaha, I love that you were caught on film reading smut... XD

And ooo, how adorable your He-Hedwig is! I want to hug him<333

Ahhh and the lovely tea set, sooo pretty!!

Aw, me too. It can be fascinating to see things in real life that you wouldn't otherwise get to experience, of course, but beyond that I'm kind of iffy on the whole zoo thing. Even if many aren't as dark or used the same way as before it still feels super weird to take wild animals and stick them in cages for people to look at. Buuut. yeah. That's a debate for another day.

Ahahahah. Well, of course I needed some fic during our trip. Can't be social all the time, right? ;) Sometimes you just need to immerse yourself in your communication device and read HP porn.
