Hello, I am fine, all's well! Feeling awesome. Found something in life I love like a mofo. I have a sort of sore throat at the moment, other than that I am fine.

Training with my dog is like two steps forward and one step back. Good days, bad days. We can has them. But it's still good.

Nao, new show!

I marathoned the two previous seasons in a week, and it was glorious. Then I was hyping out over the season premiere and nothing happened. I didn't get to watch it until tonight.

I entered the new season completely and utterly unspoiled.

I thought it was brilliant. At first I was simply baffled by Merlin's shorter hair. But it's cute! He's adorable. Arthur... Well, he's pretty, like always, of course.

First thing that hit me, apart from the hair thing, was that Morgana had been gone for over a year! That was a fast year. Oh, well, change of season - it happens.
It's possible I find it so weird because I watched her disappear only a few days ago. It feels like only a moment ago, to me.

I found it a little strange that no one suspected her even a little. I mean, she was taken away by this sorcerer whom she's been claiming she feels connected to. Some people even knew they were half sisters. If certain people combined their knowledge it'd be obvious. Also, when Morgana was poisoned Morgause was all "D:" and then saved her, so why would she keep her in a cell for a year?

I also don't know if Merlin was all ":O" at her being evil in general, or if it was purely because of who she'd teamed up with. Because really, again, that's who took her away. Someone who clearly cares for her. Obviously they're still together.

But things seem to point towards no one understanding that they were still together. Either that or they simply thought Morgause was evil (she is a sorcerer, after all) and kept Morgana in a cell.

Perhaps it was only obvious and predictable to the audience because we had all the puzzle pieces, when many of the characters could only guess what was going on. It's hard without all the pieces. But like I said... If some people combined their knowledge, they'd figure it out. They're not dumb.

Secondly, (if the above counts as one point?) Morgana is awesomely awesome when she's evil.
I feel she finally has more of a purpose in the show now. Yay. I've been sitting around, waiting for it to lead up to this point.

The bantering going on between Merlin and Arthur felt a little pushed at times. Like they were trying too hard when they wrote it. But it wasn't bad! It was amazing, of course. I love how the boys... get along. Or not? Whatever it counts as, lol!

When Merlin was shitcrapped I knew somebody awesome and familiar, and possibly even epic, would have to show up and save the day! I could only think of two; Lancelot and the Great Dragon. And then he called the dragon, of course :D
(No, I have no idea what Lancelot would be doing there.)

Perhaps that silly dragon can come back this season and be awesome instead of starting out sweet, and harmless, and then starting to scare the living crap out of me! Stupid, evil dragon!

Obviously things will work out in one way or another. But I'm still nervous and excited for next week!

The preview looks good, and the skeleton army brings back so many Army of Darkness and (speaking of Bruce Campbell) Xena memories. Ohhh, fighting skeleton warriors, how are you so awesome?

Gotta love a classic.

ETA:
Oh, yeah! I forgot. How was this episode so scary? Okay, two scary elements. Two scenes. Second wasn't too freaky. But a little bit? I dreaded the first one. The Ring has ruined wells for me. I don't fear the chick, really. I've outgrown that. It's a creepy little story, and a creepy little chick, but I don't get scared by mental images of her anymore. But just, you know, dead people in wells. In general. Not very fresh, that. When Uther was all "Arthur, dat u?" and then started toward it I went "Ohh, no... not the well!"

Freaky woman thing was freaky. I didn't even recognize her. Were we supposed to before they spoke of it/her? I did not, anyway. Perhaps because she was all dead-looking.
