I'm not much of one for mashup names myself, but I do know that some people call Helen/Tesla Teslen and John/Helen Magnitt. That's about all I've seen, though I don't read a lot of Sanctuary fic either. It's strange.
Also, I concur with you on the Pax Romana/Hangover/One Night thing.
