A real fairytale wedding

The crown princess of Sweden got married to her Daniel Jackson today. I ended up in front of the TV all day. I haven't been into this at all. I've definitely not stayed in the loop.
Three days ago a friend said "Ooh, only three days to go!" and I was wondering what happened to all those months...
Then Mother asks me "You going to watch it tomorrow?" and I'm all... Wow.
The next day I wake up from my nap, close to one pm, when my phone rings. "Are you watching it?"
"Oh, right... that."
And then I watched it. All of it. All day. Quite literally.
It was magical, I tell you. Like a wonderful, romantic movie complete with a soundtrack bursting with emotion and energy and everything. Except this was real. Reality! Movie true love romance isn't supposed to exist! That's what they all say. So don't get your hopes up. Just find somebody and settle down in a mature, sweet, normal, boringish adult way.
But it was amazing, like any dramatic movie would be, despite it being real! Or, as some would say, because of it being real.
An actual, real princess! A beautiful wedding. Freakishly big and... Well, gosh. Some things are bound to be over the top. But in general, overall, it was just.... so pretty!
And her dress... - Wow. The wedding gown was amazing! Before it was revealed I was afraid it might be poofy and too much. But it wasn't! It was simple and gorgeous. She looked beautiful.
The music was brilliant. Instrumental music by some awesome orchestra, different choirs, one actual proper love song. So amazing.
And the speeches! His speech about/to his wife. Aah! Beautiful!
I'm still wondering - if it's allowed - are they going to make love tonight? Haha, I know, right? But it's a classic! You're supposed to make sweet, romantic love on your wedding night. I mean, it's your wedding night!
But this event's been on-going ALL day. Literally all day. I shut off the TV minutes before sitting down to write this post. And that's only the TV bit ending. I doubt all guests randomly went home right after it. Actually, I know for a fact they didn't. I wonder how long into the night they'll stay at the castle (a freaking castle!) and celebrate.
Now... Sweet, romantic love-making in all honor! I'm a sucker for it, sure! You know me. Romance is what I do! Fairytale scenarios = best thing ever ever. But really - if it was me - well, once I got away from that... I'd just want to change into my pajamas, wash off all make-up, brush and/or wash my hair real quick and put it up, and go to bed and fall asleep and drool on my pillow.
Questions, questions.
Been spending some time outside last two days. I love it. Yes, it's been pouring like mad most of the time. But I don't care. I love it so much. There's so much energy out there. The air is so fresh.Plus the rain keeps the ants away - boo yah!
My dog loves it, too.
Now I'm going to inform my friend(s) that I am alive (I haven't talked to anyone today) and then either go to bed, or finish this movie. Yes, I am paused. But I've seen it several times, so it's no doom if I chose to finish it tomorrow.

Date: 2010-06-20 09:45 am (UTC)Apparently the king and queen left the party at five.
(Okay, I kind of love the monarchy thing, how often do you get to say something like that.)
You get Ray and Stella because I really have no appropriate icons, and at least they're a het couple? XD

Date: 2010-06-20 11:13 am (UTC)It was absolutely gorgeous. It wasn't weird at all! I thought, considering the royal over-the-top uniforms and dresses... But it wasn't!
I seriously want it for myself. Gah. Although, yeah, the trail was silly. But I mean, whatevs! SOMETHING had to be over the top.
I know they're a very modern, normal family. Since we live in 2010. But- she's a real princess oh my god! "The king and queen left the party at five" - it's crazy! Their titles still sound like a fairytale, despite it being 2010.
Haha, those will do nicely! I don't have any het (or generally fitting) ones. I would have if I'd changed all my icons to Sanctuary ones. But I never did, obviously. I should at least add a few.
I should change my layout, too.

Date: 2010-06-20 03:21 pm (UTC)Now I am totally out, though XD I realized what would be perfect - Turnbull from BDtH, with the paiting, you know? But sadly I don't have one of those. XD Kurt and Finn are trying on clothes, and... something? There's a connection. Er, kind of.

Date: 2010-06-21 01:36 pm (UTC)The uniforms were of the entertaining kind! I like the royal stuff, and whatever it may be. Adds character to the whole thing, and it's very cute. Fitting for the occasion, of course, but when you think about it they're kind of silly.
Then some environment dude (if I recall correctly) was pointed out/introduced when he walked by on screen, and they were all "and this is blah blah with his better half" and it was some other dude! Made me smile.
And at the end of it Peter Jöback could be seen dancing with his dude. Made me squee a little on the inside. All those royal people and guests, total het couples with a uniform and dress, dancing waltz, and then them, both in cute tuxedos, dancing. :D Adorable!
Oh noes, what to do?! You clearly need to get more icons.

Date: 2010-06-21 02:01 pm (UTC)Haha, sweet. In both senses of the word. "Naw, that's sweet", as well.
I know right? At least now you brought up Teh Gheys which makes it way easier for me. XD
